Safety and Security Services

• e2Campus

  In order to ensure timely emergency notification to students, staff, and faculty, the College employs a web-based messaging service, e2Campus which is part of the College Emergency Response Plan. The College Incident Team [CIT] uses e2Campus to send notifications that are important to Campus safety or to relay information important to College operations such as campus closings.

• Event Security

  College Security Personnel are charged with planning and operational management for the safety and security of students, staff and visitors at special events on campus, e.g. athletic events, theatre performances. The College may also coordinate with the Maryland State Police and or Cecil County Sheriff's Office for other College events as needed.

• Lost and Found

  Lost and Found is located in the Safety & Security Office. Articles are stored for a period of three months after which, all articles in good condition are donated to local nonprofit organizations. Articles in poor condition are discarded after this period.

• Parking on Campus

  The College provides free parking to all students, visitors and staff. There are numerous conveniently located parking spaces for disabled motorists, which may be used with any valid state-issued handicap parking placard or registration. There are several College permit parking spaces available for temporary use for those with short-term needs due to injury, etc. See the safety and security director in the Technology Center, room 203 for details. The College parking lots are well marked with Fire Lanes, Handicapped Parking spaces, and No Parking areas that are to be observed and respected by all motorists. Unless specifically indicated by security or facilities personnel, parking is restricted to the paved areas of the parking lots. All parking regulations are enforced by towing at the owner's expense.

  Security provides an after dark, walking escort service from Campus Buildings to your vehicle for all students, faculty and staff. To request this service contact Security at:

• Photo ID

  Students enrolled in credit classes will be provided a Student Identification Card. The card may be obtained from the Registration Office at the North East Campus and Elkton Station after payment of your bill. The ID card identifies Cecil College students for participation in campus activities and College-sponsored programs, and entitles students to use campus facilities, including the Math Lab, computer labs, and Physical Education Complex.

  All visitors are encouraged to stop by the Information Center located in the Community Cultural Center, Building A, just inside the main entrance for information and directions.
