Medical Receptionist
Our program prepares you for an entry level position in a hospital, clinic, long-term care facility, or doctor's office in as little as six months. You'll learn valuable skills critical to the medical office such as:
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Basic record/bookkeeping
- Word processing
- Medical terminology
- Gathering patient information and more!
What is required?
You will need a high school diploma or a GED and a passing score on the Allied Health basic skills assessment. Next, you need to interview with the director of health care careers. You'll also need to complete the following courses, totaling 309 hours of instruction/clinical experience:

All students are required to wear green scrubs bearing the Cecil College patch (MUST be purchased from the Cecil College bookstore) and white shoes. Additionally, all students are required to be CPR certified and complete a health profile.
