Dental Assistant

You can work as an entry-level dental assistant, receptionist, front office assistant or back office assistant. Your education will cover topics such as:

  • Dental terminology
  • Disinfection and sterilization
  • Dental anatomy
  • Insurance and billing and more!

This course also provides x-ray training that qualifies you to sit for the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Radiation Health and Safety Examination.

If you are a practicing Dental Assistant who wants to continue your Dental Assistant education you may also take the Oral Radiography training. Upon successful completion, you will have learned how to take dental radiographs (including full-mouth and bitewing x-rays), the proper placement of dental x-rays, and radiation health and safety.

NOTE: This program is provided in collaboration with Harford Community College and all classes and labs are held at Dental One in Abingdon, MD.

What is required?
