Head Coach: Ed Durham
Ed Durham is starting his fourth year as Director of Athletics and second year as the head softball coach at Cecil College. Before moving to his current positions, Coach Durham worked in Academic Advising and was the assistant men's basketball coach for 11 years.
A former three sport athlete at Middletown High School in Middletown, Delaware, he was selected most outstanding basketball player and outstanding male athlete in 1981. He continued his athletic and academic career at Cecil Community College, where he was a member of the basketball and baseball teams. During his time at Cecil he was a member of the all-conference and all-region teams for baseball and selected for the conference all star games in basketball and baseball. He was selected Cecil's outstanding athlete for 1983.
After leaving Cecil he transferred to Wilmington College in Delaware where he played baseball for two years. Coach Durham's 1984 team was the first in school history to qualify for the NAIA World Series. He was a member of the all-conference and all-district teams in 1985. After finishing his collegiate career he began coaching in the MOT youth leagues in Middletown, Delaware. Coach Durham earned a BS in Criminal Justice and his Master's Degree in Education from Wilmington College.
In addition to his duties as athletic director and softball coach he is a member of the adjunct faculty here at Cecil. Coach Durham resides in Middletown with his wife Mary Beth and their four children Erann, Zachary, Courtney, and Rachel.

Softball Ends Regular Season at 26-16
The softball team wrapped up a 16-6 conference record with a doubleheader sweep, 5-4, 15-4; of Hagerstown Community College on Wednesday, April 25. In the first game, Hannah Guy and Jessica Jackson drove in the tying and winning runs, respectively with eighth-inning singles. Adie McClanahan had six hits and six RBIs on the day, while Alexa Lee collected four hits. Hannah Musick and Rachel Graves pitched complete games. The following day, the Lady Seahawks completed the regular season at 26-16 by dropping a doubleheader, 7-0, 9-8; to Gloucester County College on April 26. Guy and Musick had Cecil's only hits in the opener. In the finale, Lee, Musick, Guy, Brooke Conard and Victoria Freeman each drove in runs. The postseason is scheduled to begin May 1.

Big Weekend for Lady Seahawks
The softball team won five out of six games over the weekend by splitting a doubleheader with Delaware Tech-Stanton on April 20 and sweeping Frederick Community College on April 21 and Garrett College on April 22. Hannah Musick, Alexa Lee, Victoria Freeman, Madison Story, Hannah Guy, Jessica Jackson, Megan Rea, Rachel Graves, Brooke Conard and Adie McClanahan all played key roles in helping Cecil improve to 24-14 overall and 14-6 in conference play.

Softball Sweeps Conference Double-Header
The softball team (11-11) snapped its eight-game losing streak by winning a pair of games, 9-1, 3-1; over the College of Southern Maryland on April 4. Hannah Musick and Rachel Graves pitched complete games, while Musick had two hits in her win. Offensive contributions were also turned in by Hannah Guy, Madison Story, Jessica Jackson, Victoria Freeman and Brooke Conard.

Seahawks Drop Double-Header to Chesapeake
Softball pitchers Hannah Musick and Rachel Graves were victimized by unearned runs in a pair of losses, 4-0, 2-0; to Chesapeake College on March 28. Musick, Hannah Guy and Jessica Jackson had two hits apiece in the second game.

Softball's Four-Game Win Streak Snapped
The softball team surrendered eight unearned runs in a pair of losses, 10-2, 9-7; to Delaware Tech-Owens March 25. Hannah Musick had three hits and three RBIs in the doubleheader. Brooke Conard and Stephanie Merritt each had a two-hit game, while Adie McClanahan and Megan Rea contributed RBI hits.

Softball Sweeps Harford
The softball team (9-3) won a pair of conference games in a doubleheader sweep, 7-0, 10-6; of Harford Community College on March 21. In the opener, pitcher Hannah Musick held the opposition to just one hit while collecting four hits and an RBI of her own. Hannah Guy, Jessica Jackson and Brooke Conard also produced run-scoring hits. Rachel Graves tossed a complete game in the finale, and she was aided by multiple hit games from Musick, Conard, Stephanie Merritt, Alexa Lee and Madison Story.

Softball Improves to 7-3
The softball team encountered its first two conference losses, 0-6, 5-6; of the season at CCBC Catonsville on March 14. Adie McClanahan collected two hits in each game, while Hannah Guy had two hits in the finale. Cecil bounced back, and improved to 7-3 overall, in a doubleheader sweep, 21-0, 12-4; of Lackawanna College on March 17. Pitchers Hannah Musick and Rachel Graves tossed complete games, while Musick helped her own cause with three hits. Multiple hit games were also turned in by McClanahan, Guy, Madison Story, Brooke Conard, Victoria Freeman and Alexa Lee.

Softball Wins Two
The softball team improved to 5-1 with a doubleheader sweep, 7-0, 16-4; of Rappahannock Community College on Monday, March 12. In the opener, Hannah Musick earned her third win in as many decisions by tossing a three-hitter and collecting three hits and two RBIs at the plate. Adie McClanahan added two hits and an RBI. Rachel Graves pitched a five-hitter in the finale and helped her own cause with two hits and two runs scored. Hannah Guy tallied four hits, while Jessica Jackson and Stephanie Merritt had two hits apiece.

Softball Off to a 3-1 Start
The softball team opened the season last week by winning three of its first four games. After splitting a doubleheader with Mercer County Community College, 7-10, 5-1 on March 6, the Lady Seahawks took two conference games from CCBC Dundalk, 12-2, 20-4 on March 7. Adie McClanahan, Alexa Lee, Stephanie Merritt, Hannah Musick, Hannah Guy, Victoria Freeman, Madison Story and Rachel Graves all played key roles for Cecil.
