Men's Soccer Defeats Allegany
The men's soccer team produced its highest offensive output of the season in a 7-5 win over Allegany College of Maryland on October 12. David Tapia led the Seahawks (2-10-0) with three goals and two assists, Patrick Jones scored twice, and Alex Mathioudis and Chase Gavan added a goal apiece. Goalkeeper Joel Heath made four saves.
Men's Soccer Defeated by Essex
The men's soccer team put up a valiant defensive effort, but the Seahawks (1-10-0) came up on the short end of a 2-0 loss to CCBC Essex. Strong performances were turned in by Joel Heath, Chase Gavan, Josh Hamilton, Jeremy Hamilton and Matt Leipold.
Men's Soccer Falls to Chesapeake
The men's soccer team overcame an early 1-0 deficit to tie the score but the Seahawks then surrendered three unanswered goals en route to a 4-1 loss to Chesapeake College on Tuesday, October 4. Chase Gavan provided the Cecil goal with an assist from Ben Cameron.
Men's Soccer Home Opener
After beginning the season with five straight road games, the men's soccer team was defeated 4-1 in its home opener by CCBC-Catonsville on Monday, September 26. David Tapia scored the Seahawks' goal with an assist from Jeremy Hamilton.
Men's Soccer Notches First Win
The men's soccer team recorded its first win of the season, in five tries, with a 3-0 victory over Frederick Community College on Wednesday, September 21. Ben Cameron broke a scoreless tie midway through the first half with an assist from Matt Leipold. Chase Gavan scored a pair of goals in the second period, which were both assisted by Jeremy Hamilton.
Men's Soccer Defeated by Hagerstown
On Monday, September 19, the men's soccer team was tied 1-1 at halftime at Hagerstown Community College, but the Seahawks (0-4-0) were outscored 5-1 in the second period en route to a 6-2 loss. Josh Hamilton scored with an assist from Chase Gavan, while Cecil's other goal came off a Hagerstown defender.
Men's Soccer Defeated by Montgomery
The men's soccer team was defeated 6-0 by Montgomery College-Rockville on Wednesday, September 14. Goalkeeper Josh Gerczak had 15 saves for the Seahawks (0-3-0) and stopped a penalty kick at the beginning of the second half.
