RECENT STAFF ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Stephen Ampersand earned a Master of Science in Management - Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University and was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society in Business.
Ian Cooper received a Bachelor of Sciencein Information Technology Resource Management from Wilmington University.
Andrew Coston is a graduate of the Cecil Leadership Class of 2011.

Tina Durborow completed a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, Capella University.
Diena Gischel earned a Master of Business Administration and a Minor in Organizational Leadership.
Adam Kamras was inducted into the Colby-Sawyer College Athletic Hall of Fame.
Sondra McKeever received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management, Wilmington University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into Delta Epsilon Rho and Sigma Beta Delta.
Stacy Miller is a graduate of the Cecil Leadership Class of 2011.
Board of Trustees
Our Board of Trustees gets involved. The governing body of Cecil College is appointed by the governor and consists of seven members, each serving a six-year term of office. Trustees can be reappointed an unlimited amount of times.
Harry Lenderman, Chair
Appointed in 2003
Dr. Harry Lenderman holds a doctorate in educational leadership and innovation from Wilmington University. Lenderman also has a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's in mathematics education, both from the University of Delaware. He is president of Elk Forge Consulting, Inc. and he teaches at the University of Delaware. Lenderman started Elk Forge Bed and Breakfast Inn and Retreat in Elk Mills, where he resides. He was the board's vice chair in 2009-10 and has been the chair since July 2010.
Sarah Colenda, Vice Chair

Sarah Colenda is a lifelong resident of Cecil County who graduated from Perryville High School and lives in Principio Furnace, near Perryville. Colenda is the executive director of the Principio Furnace Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization in Cecil County. A member of the board of directors for the Lower Susquehanna Heritage Greenways and the YMCA, she has served numerous other community groups, including the Rotary Club of North East, Fair Hill International, Benefits Union Hospital, Perryville Chamber of Commerce, Cecil County Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scouts Round Table, Cecil County Fair, and the Cecil County Comprehensive Plan Review Committee. She is also a Maryland Farm Bureau member and a liaison to the Cecil College Foundation. Colenda has been the board's vice-chair since July 2010.
S. Dell Foxx
Appointed in 1990
S. Dell Foxx is the longest current serving member of the board. He was the vice chair from 1995 to 2004 and 2008-09, and the chair from 2004 to 2008. Foxx, who resides in North East, retired from Mercantile County Bank where he was president and CEO. He remains active in the industry by serving on the PNC Bank advisory board of directors.
William W. Davis Jr.
Appointed in 2007
William W. Davis Jr. practices law in Elkton. Davis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Morehouse College and is a graduate of the Georgia State University College of Law. He serves on the board of directors for Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services, Inc. and is a member of the Maryland Judicial Nominating Commission's Second Judicial District. Davis has spoken in the Cecil County Public Schools as part of the Rhythmland Music DAT (Drugs, Alcohol and Tobacco) Is Not For Me! program.
Donna Horgan

Donna Horgan is a lifelong resident of Elkton who graduated from Elkton High School and attended Cecil College. She has served the state for more than 30 years and is currently a desk officer for the Maryland State Senate and the chief floor assistant to Senate President Thomas V. "Mike" Miller. Horgan is on the executive board of the Maryland Association of Community Colleges and is the Maryland state coordinator for the Association of Community College Trustees. In addition, she is a real estate agent with Seller's Connection in Elkton.
David Leatherwood

Dr. David Leatherwood earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the University of Maryland's College Park campus and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore. Leatherwood is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. A resident of Cecil County since 1979, he has a dental practice in North East. He teaches a Sunday school class for junior high school boys at Grace Bible Chapel in Rising Sun.
Wyatt K. Wallace
Appointed in 2011
Wyatt K. Wallace is a long-time resident of Perryville. Wallace spent 40 years working at Aberdeen Proving Ground before retiring in April 2009. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Salisbury University and a Master of Science in business administration, with a concentration in computer systems administration, from George Washington University. He is the vice chair of the Maryland Consumer Council Commission and a member of the Cecil County Planning Commission. He has also volunteered for several community causes and organizations, including Christmas in April, Maryland Stream Waders, and the PTA at Perryville Elementary School and Perryville Middle School.
